The latest update for Boyhood’s End, which launched in Early Access on September 6, 2024, introduces the first of five planned chapters for this episodic sci-fi horror adventure game. Players can now begin exploring the story of Giovanni, a boy with the lowest human score in a world ruled by a mechanical overlord, R. Karellen. In this dystopian setting, Giovanni is relentlessly bullied and subjected to a life of hardship due to his low score.
In the first chapter, players embark on a galactic journey with Giovanni and his eccentric genius companion, Campanella, as they seek out the “Crimson Southern Cross” while confronting existential challenges. This initial release is only 20% of the full game, and the developers are planning to release subsequent chapters over a 10-month Early Access period. The developers will also use player feedback to refine the game throughout this period, with the next chapter slated for release later this year
