The Legacy of the Bretons is a year-long adventure in The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), focusing on the rich history and culture of the Breton people. This saga began with the Ascending Tide dungeon pack in March 2022, introducing two new dungeons:
- Earthen Root Enclave: A lush, overgrown temple dedicated to the Earthgore, a powerful spirit.
- Graven Deep: A sunken city filled with ancient treasures and lurking dangers.
In August 2022, the adventure continued with the Lost Depths dungeon pack, featuring:

The saga progressed with the Scribes of Fate dungeon pack in March 2023, introducing:
- Scrivener’s Hall: A vast library housing forbidden knowledge.
- Bal Sunnar: A city of scholars and mages, now overrun by chaos.
In March 2024, the adventure culminated with the Scions of Ithelia dungeon pack, featuring:
- Oathsworn Pit: A gladiatorial arena where champions are tested.
- Bedlam Veil: A mysterious realm where reality and illusion intertwine.
Throughout the year, ESO also hosted the Legacy of the Bretons event, offering players increased rewards and special activities related to Breton culture. This event provided opportunities to earn exclusive items, achievements, and delve deeper into the Bretons’ storied past.
