As of August 14, 2025, the latest update for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is the official release date announcement: August 28, 2025. This remake of the 2004 classic is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will feature enhanced visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, updated controls, and new gameplay modes, including the return of the fan-favorite Snake vs. Monkey mode for PlayStation and Steam users, and a new Snake vs. Bomberman mode exclusive to Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, a new online multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt was announced but has been delayed and will not be available at launch. It is now scheduled for release in Fall 2025.
