The recent updates for Roots of Yggdrasil have introduced significant changes and improvements.
Update 1.0: Valkyrie’s Lament (Released September 6, 2024)
- This update raised the level cap for scions and housing from 5 to 10, along with new difficulty levels for trials. Players now receive matter and blueprints as rewards for leveling up.
- The update added new card curses (Burden, Frail, Haunted) and adjusted the requirements for leveling trials and resources. Enhanced feedback mechanisms were also implemented to improve user experience during expeditions(SteamDB)(SteamDB).
Update 1.2: Community Improvements (Released September 20, 2024)
- This update focused on balance and performance improvements based on community feedback. For instance, the effect of certain buildings was modified to activate at the start of every island instead of the loop.
- It introduced quality-of-life enhancements such as previews of upgraded cards showing added keywords and improved performance in the Nidavellir biome. Additionally, there were numerous bug fixes, particularly concerning artifacts and tooltips(SteamDB).
